WEICHERT, REALTORS® - Caton Properties Broker William
J. Iampieri
Born and raised in West Baltimore,
Bill Iampieri embodies the definition of
a true leader. From his days as a boy
scout leader to the wrestling mats of
Mount Saint Joseph High School, and
Loyola College, Bill has led over and
over throughout his life. His work ethic
and habits started at age nine while
working in his Father’s liquor store.
Bill excelled at sports and his
wrestling skills landed him a
scholarship at Loyola College where he
became the Sophomore Class President in
1959. Joining Caton Realty in 1964, Bill
quickly rose to the top, being named
Sales Manager in 1975 and General
Manager/Vice President in 1980.
A believer in the value of
education, Bill was a member of the 2nd
GRI class in Maryland in 1973 and a
charter member of CRS in 1978. Bill’s
last year in full-time sales he chalked
up 47 settlements and was one of the top
Sales Associates in the West Baltimore
area. Never afraid to give back to the
industry that treated him so well, Bill
has served the REALTOR community for
countless years. As the 1982 President
of the ‘Howard County Board Of
REALTORS’, Bill campaigned changing from
a two status Board to all REALTOR
status. At that time only Brokers could
be REALTORS and salespersons were
REALTOR ASSOCIATES. Bill saw the
advantage of equal status for the future
and was someone who stood up for what
was right, no matter the consequence.
Success at HCAR led him to become
President of ‘The Central Maryland
Multiple List’ (forerunner to MRIS)
where he was a tireless advocate, for
both REALTORS and consumers, of
utilizing computer technology for
Multiple Listing Systems. Bill acquired
Caton Realty in 1990 and has overseen
and marketed in excess of $1.5 Billion
in real estate and continues to be
hands-on in the everyday operation of
WEICHERT, REALTORS® - Caton Properties.
Bill’s lifetime of experience as a true
leader has prepared him to excel in
moments of great challenge and guide
Sales Associates to achieve their goals.
A Howard County resident since 1967,
Bill is married with four children and 4
grandchildren. His leisure time is spent
golfing, traveling, gardening, outdoor
grilling and supporting the Baltimore
Ravens Football team, of which he is an
avid fan.
